Speed controllers increase flexibility of fan operation.
Speed control gives you greatly increased flexibility of fan operation. It allows you to operate the fans at high speed after start up, until the air movement is established. The fan speed can then be reduced to maintain the air flow while reducing plant disturbance and noise. In conditions of increased disease risk the speed can be increased.
There are several different methods of speed control, the most popular being step transformers. These offer six speed positions plus off and are available in a 3.15 amp and 6.3 amp rating.
